Hypnotherapy

It is my job to give you to access those inner resources and allow your subconscious mind to present those answers to you.

Trance is a perfectly normal state of mind and one that we all dip in and out of several times each day.  For example, have you ever arrived at work and not been able to remember any details of the journey?  We all do it.  Yet, somehow, you arrived safely and in one piece?  You were actually in a trance state but your brain is still fully functioning and keeping you safe and it is exactly the same with hypnosis.  You will always be fully in control and aware of your environment.

There is absolutely nothing to fear and no harm can be done, in fact you will find it to be a very relaxing and pleasant experience and one that our clients look forward to in their weekly sessions.

CBT – Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

CBT is a collaborative process where we will work together to recognise the patterns of thinking (cognition) and behaviours that cause you problems. CBT theory and tools teach you practical ways to learn or re-learn more helpful and healthy habits. Basically, the aim is to challenge and break the habit of negative thinking. Negative and unhelpful thinking can manifest itself in various mental health issues.  For example; OCD, Anxiety, Paranoia, Fear, Low Mood, Lethargy, Panic Attacks, etc.

NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming

Neuro Linguistic Programming is a set of principles, techniques and tools aimed at allowing an individual to tap into the power of their own mind and understand why they think the way they do. 
And just like Hypnotherapy, the answers to the clients’ issues and goals are already within them. 
It is the Therapists job, to unlock those inner resources and patterns to allow the client to gain greater self-awareness, more confidence, better communication skills and generally interact with the world in a more positive and rewarding way.
NLP can be used to treat many mental health issues but it is also an extremely powerful tool in terms of Personal Development, Productivity, Career Progression and Achieving Goals.

EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing – Coming Soon!

EMDR is a powerful tool when used to treat past Psychological Trauma, Fears, Phobias, Addictions & Personality Disorders.
Due to the overwhelming intensity of emotions produced during a trauma, it can be very difficult for the brain to process the event.  The emotions can become trapped in the brain, being repeated over and over, thus producing upsetting memories and flashbacks.
EMDR uses Bi-Lateral Stimulation via Eye Movements to mimic how the brain works in REM sleep, ie dreaming.  This allows the subconscious mind to process the traumatic event and file it away in the past and allow the patient to move forwards.
EMDR is not a talking therapy and there is no need for the patient to reveal the painful memory to the therapist, although this can sometimes be beneficial.  This approach may appeal to people who find it too upsetting to verbalise the traumatic event.

Meditation

We use Modern, Traditional and Progressive forms of meditation with our clients.
Providing you with a way of grounding yourself and being able to relax and reset in your own time, away from the sessions is a valuable tool and can help to shorten the overall treatment times.
A spiritual aspect meditation is an important part of your overall well-being.
